Legends For

Lunch Time

The Intergalactic Gourmet

loved every piece of his creation.

He followed the path of every

piece on its outward journey.

Being that the universe was

round and not flat,

the pieces returned,

reconciled on themselves,

to form their beginning!

Amazed, the guests wondered

how long the cheese course

would take!

Over the

Rainbow

The School Play.

Laurel and Hedda's parts

were rainbow colours.

Disruptive in rehearsals,

they were separated.

On the Opening Night

they lost their costumes

arriving on the bus!

They improvised.

Laurel changed

from yellow to be orange.

Hedda changed

from mauve to red.

THEIR FINALE CAME

Hedda farted.

Everyone applauded!

The curtain fell!

WELCOME TO MY PAGE

Hello! I am Ralph Stott.

I am now pleased to announce here my new book titled:  'LEGENDS FOR LUNCHTIME'

It was the TELEGRAPH newspaper that set the challenge in 1997 to write a Mini Saga of exactly 50 words. It seemed an easy way of expressing a lot...quickly!  I thought but I was wrong!

My first ventures took days!

However, commuting as I was through Kent and Sussex, I found the opportunity and material to put together my first 50 titles. More recently, a renewed sense of purpose and vigour enabled me to complete a further 68, each with an accompanying visual.

Which I have drawn from situations,

events and recollections, adding my own sense of the improbable, (down right impossible)  before reaching a probable conclusion!

I hope you find my fables, stories and poems insightful and entertaining. Yes they are short! But life is short and fleeting; we don't really know whats round the next corner, or what’s in store, as we turn the next page! I hope you enjoy my book...........
