THE WINNER
When I picked up the book and started to read,
I thought poets sure are an awesome breed.
Great poets had written awesome stuff.
I knew that choosing one poem was rough.
Pat and I were glad not to have to pick;
To give others the job we did quick!
Thanks to all who made this book outstanding;
You gave those who read an understanding.
Poetic talent lives within many;
Inside of this book we showcased plenty.
Leokadia Durmaj take a bow;
Your fellow poets are done voting now!
“Sweet Angel Goodnight” touched many a heart;
A heart wrenching poem, which stood apart.
Congratulations to all who entered;
By your writing, many have been mentored.
